How To Set Up Google Adsense With Your Account

This is a tutorial on how to set up a Google Adsense account, and then add it to your profile to start earning money.

What is Google Adsense? Google Adsense is an advertising network that serves contextual text ads to websites. Any content that you submit on Truthed will contain Google Adsense ads .Google will display ads that are relevant to what you have submitted on Truthed. For example, if you submit media about UFOs then the ads will be about UFOs or related products and/or services. This maximizes your posts' earning potential. The revenuegenerated from these ads will be split between you and Truthed 75/25 in your favor.

Is it Free? Yes, this program is absolutely free.


Can I Use My Current Adsense Account? Yes, if you already have an Adsense account you have to use your existing Adsense code. You can easily add your Adsense publisher ID number to your Truthed profile.


How Do I get an Adsense Account? First, follow this link: Google Adsense Sign Up. Then follow the steps below using the image.







Step 1 Add the URL from your user profile in the Website URL field. You can find this URL by clicking on My Profile and copying the text in your address bar.
Step 2 Select English as the website language.
Step 3 Select Individual for the Account Type field.



Now proceed to fill out the rest of the fields.


How Long Does It Take To Be Approved? Once you have signed up for your account it will have to be approved by Google. It can take anywhere from one hour to one week to get your account approved. Remember to keep checking your email.
In the meantime, you can begin interacting with the Truthed community by reading, commenting, voting and posting Truthed Blogs.

How To Link Your Adsense Account To Your Truthed Profile Once you have been approved by Google (or if you already have an Adsense account) you'll need to link it to your Truthed profile.



First, log into your Google Adsense account. Copy your Publisher Id (as shown in the picture below) beginning with the pub- part.







Second, log into Truthed and follow the steps below to place your Adsense Publisher number into your Truthed account. Please use this picture as a guide:

Step 1 Click on "My Profile" in the upper right-hand of the header.
Step 2 Click the EARN MONEY button in your profile.
Step 3 Paste your Adsense Publisher Number in the field. Your number should begin with either ca or pub-. Make sure there are no spaces before or after your number.
Step 5 Click the save button.


Congratulations! You have now synced your AdSense account with your Truthed account. When people start clicking ads on your Truthed pages, you will see the impressions (views) and incomein your Adsense account.
