This story has been around for a while, and Kevin Randle did some checking with a MUFON investigator he knows from the area:
http://kevinrandle.blogspot.com/2009...ufo-crash.html This is an interesting case if it does pan out. It could still be just a story that has many rumors circulating around it. Until some documents and witnesses pop up about this case, it could turn into another Urban Legend of Ufology. |

I always have a problem with these bright lights people see. Think about it. If you're the alien, wouldn't you turn these lights of, so no one could see you? And also; I don't think, that these super advanced beings need lights to see in the dark, they probably have some equipment on their ship, to turn the darkness into something visible.

There are some that state the lights seen is the propulsion system of the craft. Also, many may have landing type lights that do not turn off when the craft is in flight, like many of our jets have. They may not need them here, but they would need them on their home planet and bases.
It is possible it was an unmanned (un-aliened) probe that crashed in the water. Probes from other worlds may be programmed to land on a planet with a message to its possible inhabitants, just like we did with the Pioneer and Voyager probes. |

if I was an alien and i wanted people to know i was there, i would probably shine a light at them. also, police and the military use lights to confuse people in the dark. People, when they are nervous, armed, what ever the situation will attack (shoot) the light. Maybe these crafts dont want you to shoot their vulnerable spots, or maybe they use the lights as an opticle illusion (to make them seem bigger, ect.).

How do we know they view everything in what we call "visible light"? Maybe they see in infrared and think that all beings do. So they use visible light like we do infrared...Invisible light except with proper viewing implements.
