The Phoenix Lights Revisited.

The Phoenix lights, one of the largest recorded and documented UFO sightings by a mass group of people ever recorded. March 13, 1997 between 7:30pm and 10:30pm lights of various descriptions were witnessed by hundreds of people over 300miles of area. What is unique about this sighting which makes it stand out from most others is the volume of witnesses who reported seeing the object travel over the Phoenix area. So many of these witnesses are credible. Some also law enforcement and government workers.

What strikes me though is the apparently enormous size of the object. The object (described as being a dark V or boomerang shaped craft with several lights) was apparently so huge, that it almost compared in size to the distant mountains near phoenix as it passed over them. How could something so huge, and witnessed by so many people still not be taken seriously by so many? It is a shame though that there is very little documented footage or photographs of the original object. By original object I mean the actual UFO that was sighted a few hours before the military flew over and dropped flares in a similar pattern (obviously to distract the public and give a cover story).

All we need is another sighting like this, of a craft of such enormous size, and witnessed by enough people, in a day time scenario... If the phoenix lights really was a visitation from anothe civilization, the immensity of the size of the craft must leave one wondering, what was the purpose of such a visit?

Does anyone have any information on the Phoenix lights i have not mentioned?

Area-51, that photo you posted a link too is actually of the Military Dropping flares a few hours after the initial sightings. The military did come through and drop flares in that formation approx 2 hours after the initial sighting obviously to use as a cover story. There is one known clip of footage taken of the 1st sighting of the unknown craft which is shown on I KNOW WHAT I SAW...

This 3 min video includes two UFOs on the edge of the Phoenix sand storm, It was filmed from a helicopter. Real or fake? It's harder to judge these days....

I agree its getting a lot harder to call nowadays. I watched this a couple of times and something doesnt sit right. I just cant put my finger on it but there's something about this vid that doesnt look right (apart from the fact i may be looking at visitors from space/another dimension/time travellers).

Ok what has been found and suggested on the Open Minds website is

Two lights in the sky are visible in the video, both appearing very close to the mammoth wall of dirt. One of these UFOs simply hovers, while the other moves through the sky, and eventually flies over the KNXV helicopter. Some viewers began speculating that these UFOs were extraterrestrial in origin. Kathie Bechmann, a YouTube user uploaded a video with her own commentary on the CNN video. Bechmann zooms in on the UFO that flies over the helicopter, and pauses the video just before the object disappears out of frame. The object appears to have an almost saucer-like shape, which fueled speculation of extraterrestrial craft.
But the identity of this mysterious moving light soon became apparent when the Phoenix Fox affiliate KSAZ aired a story about a Southwest Airlines plane that was making its final approach to Phoenix Sky Harbor International airport as the haboob was rolling in. According to KSAZ, ” The plane couldn’t land on its first approach, and for some reason had to head around and land from the west just before the cloud covered Sky Harbor.”

As for the identity of the stationary object in the sky, it was most likely another news helicopter. And, quite possibly, it was the news helicopter that captured video footage, published by Russia Today, showing an alternate angle of the Southwest Airlines plane.

The problem is that there are better cameras around these days.

My problem now is WHAT photo would ever be accepted as potentially "non-doctored". Imagine someone has a decent camera and records an image? It would be claimed to be too clear to not have been faked. One way or the other, no side gains any ground
