what do you think

If they can travel distance in light years, then it's more or less a regressive technology to travel time. If it's interdimensional, I doubt that time nor distance are/were a problem.

They may be able to slow or stop time as they travel. If time flows like a river, it may be possible to see the past. Can it be changed? That is not known. Even Einstein was rethinking his theories on time and light speed.

Thatīs a really interessting question. If you travel around with the speed of light, than you probably are able to travel to time. But accoring to Albert Einsteinīs relativity theory it is impossible to travel with light speed. But if you can manioulate gravity, than you can distort the space-time and by that you can travel through time, because you bend space, which means, that you can travel long distances in a matter of seconds.

Before Einstein died, he was re-working the theories to allow for faster than light speed. There are many researchers out there who believe it is theoretically possible to travel faster than light.
Any civilization that has traveled here would be thousands if not millions of years ahead of us. One hundred years ago, many thought that travel to the moon would be impossible. As one can see, that was accomplished through much research and tests. All the probes that have gone beyond the solar system do not have a propulsion system. They used the planet's gravities to "hitch" a ride and give them a push. |

true, but as you can see, they arenīt that fast (in the galactic scale of course), but if you want to go as fast or faster than light, you need a propulsion system, which is able to "push" you, even if if you are in outer space, where there is nothing to "push" to (our planes "push" air, so that their can accelerate). And thatīs one big problem mankind have to face, if we want to travel out of our solarsystem. |

I used the probes as an example as people who argue the speeds needed to get to other stars always forget our probes do not have any propulsion systems. They never take that into consideration when working out the time it would take our probes to get to another star.
Of course we would have propulsion systems on spaceships used for intergalactic travel. It will be interesting to see what they can come up with. |

I've often thought about this question as well. I saw a study some years ago that suggested what man would physically look like in the distant future. And guess what - the artist's rendition of what the scientific study described looked a lot like a damn gray. Go figure...

I guess if you are talking about in thousands(millions maybe) of years, evolution in mind.. How would we get black big eyes, maybe for night vision ![]() ![]()

While we are on the topic, i always wondered what happened to the jet propulsion engine that was supposedly way beyond supersonic capabilities. Maybe they exaggerated a bit?
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0428130758.htm 'also, when i think about how aliens are reported to look... It may be because they have no need for much of a muscle mass while living in space flight. They're bodies could be manipulated into that state in order to sustain long periods without gravity or food. Something tells me those eyes see more then just the average light spectrum.
