The disk sighted at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago has always confused me because there was so little information about it. UFO Hunters aired an episode about the incident, and it revealed a lot of good information.
A Pulitzer Prize winning reporter started to delve into the mystery after the alleged sighting on November 7, 2006. The FAA and United Airlines denied anything had happened, and United strangely forbade any of its employees to discuss the incident. This case would seem to go nowhere, until tapes released through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) did have personnel talking about a disk being sighted. That was the smoking gun that something was sighted, and the case was not a hoax or unconfirmed story. Witnesses did come forward, and gave statements with their identities concealed. An air traffic controller did get interviewed on the air, and he denied that any object was seen or visible to them. He also denied that the object could of been obscured from his view, even though the evidence of its height indicates the disk would of been inside the tower's blind spot. The object did not appear on radar (some type of stealth technology at work?), and wowed the witnesses for fifteen minutes. The object then shot straight up in the air, and left a hole in the clouds to show the blue sky. The disk was estimated to be about 20 feet (six meters) in width, and it was hovering about 1900 feet (630 meters) above the ground. This is a good daylight disk sighting with numerous witnesses stating they saw something. Hopefully, people will come forward who work for United to report what they saw. Also of note was a video shot at a Japanese airport. This was the first time airing it, and it was very good footage. It showed a glowing globe move past an airline. The object could not be seen by the naked eye, but the camera picked it up. This was explained (and shown to the viewers) that the light was probably infrared, which can not be seen by the naked eye, but can be detected by most cameras. One of the persons had a infrared type light on, and the people could not see it. It was flashed to the camera, and the viewers could see it. The video was looked at by experts, and they could not tell how far away it was from the jet. It was going at least 500 mph (800 kph), and was flying away from the video camera person. All in all a good episode that shed light on a sighting that was reported, but little known about what happened. |

Last nights episode was awesome! The UFO hunters come off as a bit goofy but their investigations are impressive. The major worry for me is aliens or not, there is something/someone in our airspace and it needs to be looked into for the security of our country.
I was talking with my brother-in-law about the episode this morning. We wondered what we would do if we were part of Government and knew for a fact aliens existed and were visiting our planet. I mean really, how would the general population react? I'm thinking many folks would panic. Our country could fall into chaos with roaming bands of freaked out citizens with weapons. If the Government is covering up the existence of aliens, why? I just want to put this thought out there... maybe they realize that this country and the world could totally come unraveled. Remember "War of the Worlds"? |

Thank you Truthed, I am a fan of the show. The first season was OK, but the second one has been on a roll. Only two really weak shows, and that is not bad for this type of show.
hodjipan, I don't think people would panic as times have changed and we have the internet now. The majority of people believe in aliens and that they have already visited us. There may be some who will freak out, but the vast majority would be very elated about a first contact. I think the main reason they have not told us is the governments are not ready and some of them may not want to give up any technology or power. We would start referring to ourselves as Terrans first, and then the members of a state or nation. That thought would take away power from the local bureaucrats, and they won't have any of that. |
