I have already seen their shows on ancient astronauts. They are quite interesting, but like most of these programs, offer very little new information on the subject.

It looks like it may be new, but their is not much description on the show. I will definitely watch it tonight, and review it tomorrow.

I thought the program was very well done. Erich Von Daniken did some bad things in the 1970s by making some claims in his books that were not true. He seems much more humble now, and I think he always raised some very good questions. The special added some more very interesting sites, and raised the questions as to how the ancient people could have created those gigantic building blocks that fit together so perfectly.
The special also did a few minutes on the anomalies found on Mars, and I think that should be a special unto itself. There is an excellent book about Mars called "The Mars Mystery" by Graham Hancock for those interested in what was touched upon. There is a lot of math and measurements in that book to show that there could very well be artificial constructs on Mars. Speaking of Mr Hancock, I did hope the special would include his theory that it may not be ancient astronauts, but an ancient supercivilization that thrived thousands of years ago. That too, would probably make a special unto itself, although Mr Hancock uses much of the same information as Mr Von Daniken does. His theory is different. I also liked that they included some other fringe authors like Michael Cremo. He gets a lot of grief because he is part of the Hare Krishnas. I don't care what group he belongs to as he brings up a lot of questions and has the evidence to back them up. They also had the usual debunkers and skeptics on, but the skeptics seemed to be open to some of the ideas. Those who watched the show know who the debunkers were. The debunkers will be upset because the tone of the show was not dismissive, and they do not like any other idea to get a serious look. Overall, it treated the subject with intelligence, and that is all those of us who are looking for answers want. |

Those Mayan temples being in a triangular formation including the Pleiades and Orions belt was very interesting. Then that shot of the same formation somewhere on the surface of mars took a minute to sink in.
