I have been interested in martial arts as long as I can remember. This year, I took some time and really focused on improving my physical abilities, health and diet and incorporate some exercises from martial arts and parkour.

After witnessing some injuries being healed through execise, diet and lifestyle changes, I was drawn to the softer, internal arts like tai chi and qi gong. There are claims in the internal arts far beyond what I have experienced, and this is interesting to me.

Our mind sends eletrical signals to our body for control after all, so the idea of energy moving through the body is understandable and interesting.. but there is alot of fog. I will post a collection of videos demonstrating this at the end.

Amongst the fog there are interesting videos like this PBS special:

I was so impressed by the video, that I hunted down the full version (DVD: http://www.kahunavalley.org/dvd.htm).

The possibilities of qi gong as a low cost healing and health system are amazing. It is actually difficult to find information on this subject in the west. I can understand why, with healthcare being one of the major problems and a healthcare and insurance industry that benefits from the death of individuals?

There is mention of some technology that can detect qi which is interesting. Will continue the research in this area..
